Rotorua is famous for it's rotten-eggs-smell, this because of it's geothermal activity. It's the second big city in NZ I've been to. I directly settled myself in one of it's hostels and until now, still working here for accommodation. The positive site about it is that It's only 2 days work a week, which means I've got 5 free days off! The negative aspect is that I mostly end up cleaning toilets and showers for 5 hours a day. I can say that's pretty shitty. But as I promised myself, I will look at everything in a positive way : I now know how to clean toilets and showers properly! Because of the geothermal activity, there are some lovely little walks to do as well! You can see some mud pools or steaming water coming out of the ground. Nature is a strange but amazing thing! One of the reasons to get settled here, is to get some M0N€YZZZ. I've tried almost every café or restaurant, just giving my CV's to EVERYONE, but no one really replied. I kinda gave it up, but then at some random evening something magical appeared. It was 4 in the afternoon and someone knocked on our room. It was a chilled out girl with dreads from reception. I opened and she said: "Who would like to have a job tonight?" I said: "Yes please!" She told me that this friend of her had a catering and cocktail business and that he needed some help at an event that night. I dressed up and got out. I got introduced to the guy and while walking up the backdoor stairs in a creepy weird neighbourhood he said: "Oh btw, this is a stripclub..." I can tell you for sure, I had never seen that coming... But yeah, also that was a wonderful new experience haha
