The Everywhere Pass

While spending my first week in Auckland, these small normal things I used to have in Belgium didn’t feel that small anymore. As an example going to the supermarket and paying for my own food, wich was ok. But reality kicked in when I had to get meds for my sickness. I was standing still in the pharmacy for 5 minutes, just looking around. I didn’t know what to do or what I needed. Mom supposed to know what to get me. Where is my mom? It was strange to experience that feeling, just by going to the damn pharmacy. I mean, I’ve always been an independent girl… but going to the pharmacy by myself was too much? I laughed it off and just got my coughing syrop with some vitamins C.
After a couple of days, I wanted to figure out how I was gonna travel through New Zealand. Getting a car was not an option, hitch hiking by myself was too dangerous and just jumping on a random bus didn’t felt safe. My goal was to see as much as possible in NZ, including the most famous and the most annonemous places. I wanted to be able to just random decide to stay in a place and leave whenever I wanted. Luckily after my orginasations orientation session I knew exactly what to do. So I just did it, I got myself an ‘Everywhere pass’ on the stray bus. A bus that would take me everywhere I needed to be.
